Hunger Games

Prior to Christmas break, I didn't understand why everyone liked these books so much. I had no clue as to what they were about, but I thought they would be stupid, for no particular reason. Then, I saw a trailer for the movie over break and decided I had to see it. But I wanted to read the books first, because I knew if I saw the movie first, I wouldn't want to read the books. However, I never got the books. March 23 seemed too far away... until last week. I had my mom buy the first book and started reading it that day. I couldn't put it down and finished it in less than 24 hours. It's pretty safe to say that I now understand why everyone likes The Hunger Games so much.
